I will show you how to install I9000XXJVT

1. Download I9000XXJVT and extract the ZIP file

• Multiupload site
• Samsung-updates

2. Download ODIN
3. Get your phone in download mode (Power+Volume Down+Home button)

4. Run ODIN
5. Put in all the extracted files as shown in the image (click on the image to enlarge).

• PIT=s1_odin_20100512.pit
• PDA=CODE_I9000XXJVT_CL617736_REV03_user_low_ship.tar.md5
• PHONE=MODEM_I9000XXJVT_REV_00_CL1064602.tar.md5

Note: Checked re-partition. All your apps will be deleted. Your data files still on the SD Card.
6. Connect your phone to USB cable. Click START button. Sit back and relax :)
DONE.

Im going to continue testing and will post the screens after the break....

Note: Good practise. Factory reset once done. This will make your phone as new coming out from factory :) Useful for ROOTING process later.

ICS Android 4.0 coming to Galaxy Note. Very close.

Android 4.0 ICS for Galaxy Note leaked in China. Just share with you guys but I am not sure it is work or not, so FLASH at your own RISK. The Rom is for i9220 (Chinese Galaxy Note) and NOT for N7000 (Galaxy Note International version). The author said camera and Bluetooth are working great.


The good news is that it is definitely in the works and should be landing soon for International Galaxy Notes.

Download and flash at your own risk.

Unzip the file and flash with Odin.

How to install
From GingerReal v8.0 Master Edition JVQ

1. Reboot recovery
2. WIPE Dalvik, Delete Cache, Factory Reset, Reset battery Stats (the best you have your battery 100%)
3. Select MIUI ZIP file and Install it.
4. Good luck :)

How to install ICS Stunner on Galaxy Note N7000?

You are from Gingerbread with root. This is what you need:

1. ICS LP1 Repack I9220LP1-N7000-ICS-REPACK  - Mobile Odin Pro/Mobile Odin Lite.


2. Once reboot. Clear Data/Factory Reset

3. Advance>Reboot Recovery. Then install ZIP files below
4. ICS Stunner - CWM Recovery
5. LP5 modem - CWM Recovery
6. Done

Note:
-Do not use LP5 repack
-LP6 modem avail on LP5 modem link
-Copy all the download files into your internal SD card 
-No s-pen usage like stock

Settings >Euphoria Control>Power Menu Options>Check Show screenshot

Hold Power Button and you will see ScreenShot option

Would like to move from ODEX+ROOTED XXLC1 to DEODEX+ROOTED XXLC1 and keep all your apps and data?

This is how to do it.

1. You need to have Mobile Odin Pro
2. Download this DEODEX XXLC1 and extract the file
3. Copy "CODE_N7000XXLC1_ROOT_DEODEX_BL.tar.md5" into your phone
4. Run Mobile Odin Pro
Select "CODE_N7000XXLC1_ROOT_DEODEX_BL.tar.md5" for "System" and "Hidden" as image above.

Un-check "Enable EverRoot" since you already rooted and CWM.
**Maybe we need to check it to keep CWM. Havent tested.

5. Click [Flash firmware]. System will restart and DEODEX XXLC1 will be installed.
6. DONE

You are DEODEX XXLC1.

How to make sure Im DEODEX?
You dont have .ODEX file inside you "System/App" folder.


PRO and CONS

DEODEX lets you to modify the system, especially THEME
Developers most of the time choose DEODEX rom for their custom rom
DEODEX will allow you to modify APK file

ODEX files quickly build dalvik cache. Shorter boot time
DEODEX take longer time for the first time boot time. Not after that
DEODEX you could patch your RTL. Mean you could read ARABIC on GNote


For a casual user like me, the main implication is in theming possibilities. Themes for android come in APKs too, and if you want to modify any of those, you should always choose a dedoexed custom ROM.

Just notice CWM is gone. You need to reload CF-Root-SGN_XX_OXA_LC1-v5.3-CWM5.zip via Mobile ODIN
After that you will get back your SuperSu and CWM

All is related to XXLC1. Do not interchange it from other version.
