Clinical Kinesiology And Anatomy

Clinical Kinesiology And Anatomy

Lynn Lippert adds a greater emphasis on clinical insights and functional connections to her easy-to-understand, well-organized 4th edition text. This accurate and thoughtfully updated edition is what should be at the heart of your clinical kinesiology course to help students analyze the mobility of specific joints in various activities of daily living. The first seven chapters describe the various body systems, terminology, and biomechanical principles that will be applied in the individual joint chapters that follow.
Summary: Exactly what I needed
Rating: 5
I needed this for school and it was cheaper than getting it at the bookstore. Good timing, right price, and the exact book I needed!
Summary: Terrible textbook
Rating: 1
This book and the lab manuel are absolutely awful. We are using it in our Occupational therapy Assistant program and I HATE this book. The illustrations are mainly in red they are not complete. The descriptions do not match with what the lab book tests. It jumps around within the chapters. I feel that our school using this book has lowered our test scores with such poor examples.
Summary: Save your money
Rating: 1
This book was required as supporting material for an OT program. This book is full of mistakes and the diagrams are very hard to follow, misleading, and/or mislabeled. Truly a waste of money, save your money and check it out from the school library and photocopy the darn thing if you have to use it. Useless is an understatement.
Summary: Clinical Kinesiology Save Your Money!
Rating: 1
This text book is an abomination. It is riddled with mistakes, often incomprehensible in its explanations, and fairly useless as a reference book. Its schematics and diagrams are consistently mislabeled and confusing. The salient points of each chapter are either obscured or misguided. Avoid this mess; dont waste your time or your money.
Summary: Never again will I use this for a textbook
Rating: 1
I made the mistake of selecting this book to teach functional anatomy and kinesiology. There are numerous mistakes and emphasis in the text is on information that is not pertinent for PTAs. The author neglects other information that is essential for PTA students. I ended up trashing the book midway through the semester and creating my own text. I am just sorry my students paid hard-earnded money for this text that they will never use as a reference.
Reviews from students were summarized as a D.
